OSINT Framework
What it is — OSINT Framework isn't a tool itself, but a map/directory organising hundreds of OSINT resources by category (usernames, emails, domains, social networks, images, geolocation, cryptocurrency, dark web...) as a navigable tree. When you don't know where to start or don't know the specific tool for a given data type, this site points you to it.
| Type | Web directory |
| Cost | Free |
| URL | osintframework.com |
How to use it
- Open the site and browse the tree by category (Username, Email Address, Domain Name, Social Networks, Public Records...)
- Every leaf node links directly to the corresponding tool or website
- Icons next to each entry indicate whether it requires signup (💲), is paid, or has an API
It's literally an index — it doesn't replace individual tools, it just saves you from having to remember or search for which one to use for each type of lookup.
What I use it for
- When I get stuck on an investigation: if I've exhausted the tools I know off the top of my head, I check the corresponding category on the framework to see what I'm missing.
- Discovering new tools: there are always entries for niche services I didn't know about, especially in less common categories (dark web, cryptocurrency, transportation).
- Teaching OSINT to a beginner: it's the best starting point for understanding which categories of information exist before diving into specific tools.
