searchsploit is the command-line interface for Exploit-DB: it searches already-published public exploits by service, version, or CVE, without needing an internet connection (the database ships locally on Kali).

Commands

CommandWhat it does
searchsploit vsftpdSearches for exploits related to vsftpd
searchsploit ftp | grep vsftpdFilters results with grep
searchsploit -m <path>Mirrors the found exploit into your current directory

Typical flow: search for the service/version detected by Nmap, locate the relevant exploit, and use -m to copy it locally to review or adapt before running it.
